After losing his job during the pandemic and exhausting his savings, Marcus found himself living in his car for three months. He came to Harbor of Hope feeling defeated and uncertain about the future.

Through our Job Training Program, Marcus earned his forklift certification and completed a paid internship at a local warehouse. His case manager helped him secure a one-bedroom apartment through our Housing First program.

Where Marcus Is Today

Marcus has been in stable housing for over a year and was recently promoted to shift supervisor at his company. He now mentors other program participants, sharing his experience and encouraging them to keep going.
